temperly london

The colors, the patterns, all so perfectly balanced. The transition from structured male-influenced pieces to the 40s style bustier dresses to the finale of sweeping old hollywood glamour nightgowns. yummy.

From now on I promise to be better at posting

No seriously. I will. Lately I've been feeling really inspired by all the art I've been seeing, and I need to file it all away somewhere. What better place than here right?

Recently I've discovered Banksy. I had seen some of his work before, but when I googled him I was so pissed I couldn't see his exhibit in Bristol this summer. His brutish humor and radical politics guarantee a strong reaction. That, to me, is art.

This iconic image is probably one of his most popular works.

Let's Do It For Our Country

Well sure I know Grease 2 isn't exactly the best taste in film, but GODDAMN this scene gets me everytime I see it on late night cable tv. haha. Just think about it Sharon, it'd be as if we were doin it for the Statue of Liberty. Or the Grand Canyon! Or Or OR DISNEYLAND!!!
Is it just me or is Louis kinda hot?

Note to self: MUST MUST MUST buy pillbox hat next time thrifting.

Channelling Star Trek: The Next Generation

When I was a little kid I watched a lot of tv and among my favorite shows was Star Trek: The Next Generation. I think this was probably because it came on right after Full House which I loved! So you can only imagine how funny I found it when I came across this shoulder padded mustard top in a bag of some of my mom’s very very old clothes. I was so excited about it I had to snap a shot in tribute to my favorite character, Data. Data was so ace!!!
…ok geek moment over. I really need to showcase some other shoes of mine, but these Colin Stuarts are still so amazing to me I never want to wear anything else =)

my russian hat

I never get over how even after I'm sure I've cleaned out all the vintage goodness, the depths of my mom's closet seem to surprise me with a new supply. This russian hat, which I'm sure was my grandmother's at one point, is my latest love.
